Q: How do I become a member of BeTechly?

A: It's very easy: first you need to register, providing your contact details. Once you've registered, you'll get a verification email; click the link in that email to activate your account. Make sure you check your spam folder if you don’t receive the activation email in your inbox in a few minutes. Once you’ve activated your account, simply complete your profile and answer the Matching Questions thoroughly. Our rewards system matches you to Rewards Surveys based on your area of responsibility, so be sure you answer those questions accurately. That's it - you'll be ready to get matched with rewards surveys at that point.

Q: Why join BeTechly? 

A: You’re a Geek Hero and you love to buy technology for your company. But you know that means being constantly bombarded by the Tech Marketers with offers, whitepapers, etc and a lot of that is not well targeted and it doesn’t match your needs. BeTechly solves this problem by providing a conduit between Geek Heroes and Tech Marketers – it is now easy for you to tell Tech Marketers what kind of technology you’re interested in, what you have authority to buy and where your priorities are. We value your time and we compensate you for it. So, you’ll have the opportunity to earn rewards when you take surveys, update your information, agree to learn more about a new solution or a new partner, all the while paving the way for better IT buying decisions for your company.

Q: Can I join BeTechly if I live outside the United States?

A: Yes, however the rewards offered are decided by our Tech Marketer clients so there are likely to be more surveys for Geek Heroes in the United States.

Q: What can you redeem points for?

A: It's your choice! We have a number of gift cards, e-certificates, money and more. Some of the more popular rewards are PayPal and Amazon e-certificates.

Q: Will it cost me anything to join BeTechly?

A: There are no costs associated with joining the panel community and you can leave at any time.

Q: How do I Opt Out or Unsubscribe?

A: Manage your settings from My Account in the BeTechly.com website. You can opt out or back in at any time. To stop receiving emails from BeTechly, change your settings in your account profile.

Questions about Surveys

Q: Why are surveys conducted?

A: BeTechly is a survey based platform that provides a conduit between IT buyers and Technology marketers. The surveys are used to help marketers better understand IT buyers, their preferences, priorities and requirements when it comes to different kinds of technologies and it also gives IT buyers the opportunity to meet new business partners, vendors or be introduced to new solutions at their convenience and with their permission. At the same time, BeTechly compensates IT buyers for their time and effort in learning about these new technologies, telling us more about themselves and giving marketers access to their preferences and info about their IT buying. We aim to equip both parties with the instruments to succeed in their business.

Q: How long does an average survey take to complete?

A: The number of questions varies from one survey to another. We try to keep surveys as short as possible, although we have to make sure the results are meaningful. In general, a survey should take around 10 to 15 minutes to complete.

Q: How often will I be asked to take surveys?

A: We only have a limited number of surveys in the BeTechly program, matched against multiple Tech Marketers. You are only asked to take surveys that match your area of responsibility ONCE, no matter how many marketers require each specific survey and how many times they require it – unless your area of responsibility changes. Therefore, we ask that you keep your profile information up to date at all times. Additionally, you might be invited to meet up with new vendors to find out if their solutions meet your needs.

Q: Can you mail the surveys to me or conduct them over the phone?

A: Unfortunately, there is no other way to take part in these online surveys, you must complete them over the Internet.

Q: How do I find a survey?

A: To take a survey online, you will need the survey link. To find a survey that was shared with you, log into your BeTechly account and go to the My Surveys section of your account. You can also search through the current surveys listed.

Q: Are my survey responses anonymous and secure?

A: Responses are collected anonymously. BeTechly will never share your personal information with 3rd parties without your consent. Read our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions for more details.

Questions about Privacy

Q: If I become a member of BeTechly, will I receive e-mails advertising other products and services?

A: We do not release your information to anybody unless you give us permission to do so. However, please note that our Tech Marketers clients have their own databases which you could already be part of. They can upload their databases into our system and invite you to take a survey. They do this so they can learn more about your needs and to be able to better serve you in the future.

Q: Who can I talk to if I have any privacy concerns?

A: Contact information is provided in our Privacy Policy, which is linked here and within the footer of the pages on the BeTechly website.

Q: Why does BeTechly need my personal information?

A: Generally, personal information is used: (i) to communicate with you regarding BeTechly membership and survey participation; (ii) to tailor survey opportunities to you; (iii) to comply with legal obligations, including, without limitation, complying with taxation requirements; (iv) to administer and manage our incentive programs and fulfill your requests for incentives; (v) to facilitate your entry into our sweepstakes and communicate with you regarding sweepstakes entries; and (vi) to update our records.

Q: Why did I get an e-mail with a link to join BeTechly if I didn't apply myself?

A: BeTechly is a survey-based platform that connects IT buyers and Technology marketers. Our Tech Marketing clients connect their marketing databases with our system and then choose contacts to apply to our surveys. If you’ve been invited, that means that you are part of one or more of our clients’ databases, and they’ve selected you take a BeTechly survey.

Q: How do I submit a complaint?

A: If you have a complaint with respect to our quality of service, or you have any concerns about our terms of use or policies, we invite you to contact us so we can try to resolve your complaint or concern as quickly as possible.
